Barcelona: Sagrada Familia

August 2, 2012

Sagrada Familia is one of the most important building in the world. But,what can you do after visit it ? You have an unexpected offer beyond Sagrada Familia Square and some interesting curiosities (see at the end of this post!)

If you are hungry but not a millionaire…

La Llesca (Gaudí Avenue 12)  Typical and home-made Catalan food. Pa amb tomaquet, botifarra amb mongetes, favetes amb pernil…delicious!

La Paradeta (Passatge Simó 18) Like if you were in the market, you can choose fresh fish (sepia, rape, pulpitos).

Pizza lovers? For you, there are 2 popular restaurants, Piazzenza (Gaudí Avenue 27-29) and  Felino (Marina St.269). Better if you book, usually are plenty!

Taking a beer…

Michael Collins (Sagrada Familia Square 48):   The most famous Irish pub in Barcelona with good beer and life music. But not very cheap, to be honest.

Piacere Caffe: Next to Michael Collins, this is a fantastic bar to take a coffee during the day, read a book and drink a cocktail at night.

Bierfest (Gaudí Avenue 81), inspired in German taverns, is a friendly place where you can find beer from different parts of the world.

Hola Nepal (Lepanto Street 323) An exotic place to eat Nepali food. Good service, good food and good price.

Chiringuito Aigua: At the end of Lepanto Street, in Princep de Girona Gardens, a quite and hidden place to drink, eat a snack and discover the famous “potato” (1 euro!)

Los Ancares (Sicilia St 285) If you want a more traditional place, then you go there. Classical and good tapas, jamon, chorizo and tortilla. You won’t forget the owners. The favourite place for taxi drivers at night!
