Cadiz

August 26, 2012

Great visit to Jerez, in Andalucia. To eat:

Casa Pepa: fresh gazpacho, perfect against the heat.

Bar La Moderna: great tapas.  “Lagrimitas de pollo” recommended!

Other towns to visit:

Chiclana: In Bodega El Carretero, we discover a new tapa: “ortiguillas”.

Puerto de Santa María: the most famous bar is Romerijo, fresh fish.

Sanlúcar de Barrameda: Casa Balbino is the most famous place to eat tapas, tortilla de camarones and drink manzanilla and fino, but it is usually plenty. You can go to El Fogón de Mariana, good good ham.

Tarifa: a lot of bars in the little streets and squares. Delicious tapas, fish, fresh beer and a lot of surfers. We recommend you to go at night.

And of course, you have a lot of beaches to visit: Conil, Zahara de los Atunes, etc. A curious place to go: Bolonia Beach,  roman ruins on the beach.

And the end of holidays is coming… But life goes on! 😉
