Barcelona: Before going to Gracia, Còrsega Street

July 11, 2013

The boundary between Gràcia and l’Eixample is a good option before visit Gracia (or after!). Here you have some recommendations:

Bar Mut (Pau Claris St.,192): little bar of tapas, carefully made. There are a few tables, it is necessary to book before going.  It hides a  secret: If you go at night, ask about Bar Mutis and you could drink a cocktail in a charming place.

La Pepita (Còrsega Street, 343): its name is not a person, it refers to a kind of sandwich. You can taste there sandwiches, elaborated tapas and a home-made vermouth. It is open a from breakfast to evening!

Adonis (Bailen St. 188) In the corner of Bailen St. with Còrsega St., near Passeig St.Joan, you will find this bar, in which you can have a coffee, drink, some tapas and even a simple menu, because it is open all day. Two floors, decoration with books and some round tables in the street make the identity of this bar.

About restaurants:

Ramen Ya-Hiro (Girona St.,164): of course, you can eat there real Ramen (japanese soup with noodles). A very little place, always full.

Ferrum restaurant (Còrsega St.,400): Charming place, with high quality Mediterranean food and reasonable prices. A special mention to the cream of shrimp with almond foam and cockles. Highly recommended!

Thai Gracia (Còrsega St.,381): good Thai food and nice decoration. Good place if you want an exotic food in good company. Chicken curry is recommended.

And to end, two cocktail bars: Aigua del Carmen (Còrsega St., 400), next to Ferrum Restaurant (see before) a charming place to have a drink in a quiet atmosphere. The name comes to an old medicinal drink. And Stinger Cocteleria (Còrsega St.,338), in the corner with Pau Claris St., and next to Casa Comalat (modernist building with 2 entrances, one in Diagonal Av.,442, the other in Còrsega St.,316), it’s a traditional place to taste a varied offer of cocktails.
