February 28, 2014

It is Carnival time! If you are in Barcelona this weekend, you have a broad offer of activities to do.  For sure you will find a lot of popular meetings with people showing their imaginative disguises. We propose you some activities related to food, that you can enjoy with or without disguise;)

On Saturday March 1th, IX calçotada popular de l’Eixample. Organized by castellers de Sagrada Família, mixes calçots and castells. And activities for the children. It starts at 12h in Sagrada Família (carrer Marina)

Calçots and romesco sauce, Catalan tasty tradition.

And an option to enjoy of the sunny moments: going to Barceloneta beach after visiting Forn Baluard (Baluard St.38-40,in front of Barceloneta’s market). Awesome white chocolate croissant! And home-made bread. One of the best “forns” in Barcelona. Highly recommended!!
