Let’s start Festes de Gràcia!

August 15, 2014

Today start Les Festes de Gràcia, a popular and traditional celebration with music and a lot of activities in the streets of this village in the middle of Barcelona. Some streets are decorated by the neighbours and there is a contest to decide which is the best.

Gracia’s Street (Last year)

Locals and foreigners visit the neighbourhood, from families to groups of young or old people, a crowded mixture. It is a unusual period with more people in the street instead at home.

Gracia is one of our favourites areas in the city, so we want to share with you some recommendations if you decide to visit Gracia in different ways:

If you want to stay in the middle of the celebrations, here you have some places to have some tapas, a drink or an ice cream: https://notonlyeating.wordpress.com/2012/10/13/barcelona-gracia/

If you prefer to eat something before going to the middle of Gracia or escape for a while from the crowded streets, some places to be at one step: https://notonlyeating.wordpress.com/2013/07/11/barcelona-before-gracia/

And if you want to visit Gracia in the morning, some of the best places (for us) to have a vermut: https://notonlyeating.wordpress.com/2013/08/18/gracia-iii-vermut-time/
