Bardeni, the meatbar in Barcelona

December 8, 2014

Bardeni (Valencia St 454) is a small space in Barcelona, near to Sagrada Familia, that has become a hidden temple for meat lovers. The offer are small dishes of meat (any kind of), always using high quality raw materials. The proposal comes from Dani Lechuga, a chef who has been awarded several times during his career.

In this a meatbar, you find a main bar to eat and a few tables. The suggestions of the day are written on the wall.

Our selection during our visit:

Oxtail canelloni

Angus Steack tartar

Wagyu entrama (unpronounceable but terrific)

Croquetas made of butifarra del perol

Mexican tacos (pork)

A selection of burgers: the Black Angus, just with “allioli” comes from other world, deliciuos!

We enjoy all the proposals. Well cooked meat, tasty combinations… Really foodporn if you are a “meat lover”;)

As a dessert, Catalan cream foam, a wink for the taditional Catalan cooking.

Next to this bar, there is Caldeni, also a Dani Lechuga’s restaurant. Small space too, but more “formal” space (no bar, just tables, bigger dishes and a menu). It seems fantastic, and knowing his little brother Bardeni, the quality should be high. And as you can expect, prices are higher than Bardeni.

Congrats Dani Lechuga! Thank you for offering this quality with more affordable prices for normal people.
