Omá Bistro Barcelona
Omá Bistró (Consell de Cent 227) is a bright place near the center, specialized in brunchs. Nordic decoration with wood, metalic chairs of different colours, a big table to share, a comfortable corner with a sofa… It’s perfect for Sunday morning.
They have a varied sort of coffee (espresso, filter,…), homemade cakes and artisan beers. To eat, bread, eggs, salads and more.
We tasted a burger, a chicken wrap and nuggets. And good coffee (El Magnífico). If you want or need to drink soja milk, then you have to pay a small supplement.
And if you want to stay quietly, reading a book, newspapers, working with your computer sharing you time with some trendy people, that’s a good place. But if you go there with a little boy, it’s good too. There are colour pencils and notebook for children.
So, in summary, kind attention, comfortable place and good food. An attractive combination if you are in Barcelona.
Bocca di Bonifacio, burgers and Italy in Barcelona
Placed near Sagrada Familia, Bocca di Bonifacio (Sardenya St., 370, Barcelona) is a rara avis in the area. They offer quality burgers in a comfortable place.
The reason of the name is because the restaurant is in the corner between Còrsega and Sardenya Street and the strait between Corsica and Sardinia is called Strait of Bonifacio.
Burgers are made from different kind of meat: veal, ox,etc. Are big enough and the average price is 10 euros by burger. We taste Genovese burger and the burger with foie, both very good.
Moreover the name of the burgers, starters (salads, brushetta, etc) and the desserts show people working in the restaurant come from Italy: cannolo siciliano, panna cotta, tiramisu.
Very kind service and good food. You have the option of take away if you want.We recommend you a visit here if you are in the neighbourhood!
Onna Café, for coffeelovers in Gràcia (Barcelona)
Placed in a tiny street in Gracia, next to Corcega Street, you can find this small café: Onna Café (Sta.Teresa St.1)
Inside, homemade pastry and different kind of coffee.
If you want coffee with milk, you have an espresso coffee. But if you prefer another kind of coffee, you have different options. You can choose a filter coffee, prepared in a different way depending on the system, for ex., aeropress, Chemex or V60.
A way to relish the coffee if you are a coffee lover. They advise you depending on your preferences.
The place is small, but they offer a kind attention. It is worth if you want to taste coffee done by good baristas.
Valencia
Next to the Mediterranean Sea, this city, that has changed a lot during the last years, offers different and interesting places to visit and a strong gastronomy which is worth to know.
Mercat Central The most famous market in Valenica, plenty of activity and stalls.
La Lonja Magnificent building in the old part of the city, where fish was sold centuries ago.
Bodega Casa Montaña: Placed in Es Cabañal, the fishermen’s neighbouhood next to the Malvarrosa beach. It looks like an old cellar and you can find there tapas. There is a restaurant inside.
In the city center:
El Bon Menjar (Carrer dels Assaonadors o Calle Zurradores, 7, Valencia): delicious rice in a traditonal place. Good option to menu, tasty food and good prices.
Horchatería Santa Catalina (Santa Caterina Sq, 6, Valencia): classical place to taste horchata with fartons, emblematic examples of Valencian “sweet” gastronomy.
Other recommendations in the city center, Le Creperie Bretonne (Bordadores St 6, Valencia), creps are the specialty, and La Pappardella (Bordadores St.5, Valencia) nice Italian restaurant.
Mercat Colón , out of the city center. Beatiful building, nice to visit in Christmas time.
And Valencia offer a lot of things to see, like the Malvarrosa beach and the promenade, with spanish stars mentions on the floor (imitating Hall of Fame),
or the Ciutat de les Ciències i les Arts, a walk in the city center, etc
We hope this post help you to eat well there!
Faborit Barcelona
Faborit is a café placed in the famous modernist building Casa Amatller, in Passeig de Gracia 41, next to the also famous Casa Batlló.
In this tourist place, iconic example of the modernism of Barcelona, you can suprisingly access through the street inside the ground floor and go to this Café.
Inside, diferent parts. A salon with tables, a part for chocolate lovers, a part with a big table to share the space with other customers, the big part to buy your juice or coffee and a part outside, a kind of little patio.

A comfortable place to stay and enjoy a modernist space.
The old part of El Clot in Barcelona
Near Plaça de les Glòries, there is the old part of El Clot. We recommend you to visit this neighbourhood of Barcelona, away from tourism and with some remarkable places.
The main street is El Clot Street. It is interesting to take a walk through this street, because there is a lot of history you can find in some details.
About gastronomy, in El Clot Street you can find some emblematic places:
Bodega Sopena (El Clot St., 55): popular cellar where you can taste wine or vermut with the old people of the area and young people coming from different parts of the city.
Pastisseria La Palma (El Clot St.,72-74 ): classical pastry shop with quality pieces of pastry. Another shop dedicated to bombons is in the same street.
Others: Xurreria El Clot (El Clot St, 108), to taste churros, Marlen Tastets (El Clot St,75), to have a drink or tapa or Clot 76 (El Clot St, 76) for cocktails at night.
Some terraces and pastry shops in the square in front of El Clot Market, the heart of this area.
Also in this street, Llibreria El Pebre Negre (El Clot St, 41), interesting bookshop. They organize activities, also for children.
And Parc del Clot, a park that was designed integrating the structure of the old “El Clot” train station.
And hidden interesting streetart pieces, here one dedicated to Carmen Amaya:
Another little town with its own character in Barcelona, which is worth to know.
